Overview

The Holy Rosary Parish Church was built between 1877 and the 1890s and reached its finished form in 1909, designed by Manila architect Antonio de la Camara. It is listed by the National Museum as an Important Cultural Property, and a National Historical Commission marker was installed in 2017.

In January 2026 the Vatican’s Dicastery for Divine Worship issued a decree raising it to a minor basilica, the first in the Archdiocese of San Fernando and the 30th in the Philippines. It is an active parish, so plan visits around Mass times and dress respectfully.
