Overview
Mount Arayat rises alone from the Central Luzon plains to 1,026 m, and the national park around it was declared in 1933. It became a tourist spot in 1997 and a protected landscape under a 2022 law.
The park entrance is in San Juan Baño, Arayat, where the trail to the mountain's southern peak begins; the climb takes about three to four hours. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources keeps a field office inside the park.
