Overview
The parish of Minalin was founded in 1614 as a visita of Macabebe. Its Baroque church, with a retablo-like facade between twin hexagonal four-storey towers, was declared a National Cultural Treasure on August 27, 2011, the second in Pampanga after Betis.
In the corners of its patio stand four arched capillas posas, oratory stations for the Blessed Sacrament that are said to be unique in the Philippines. Upstairs in the convent is the Minalin Mural, dated 1619, showing trees, ducks, crows, a boat, a hunter and a crocodile; floods in 2012 damaged part of it before it was restored.
