October is the busiest month on the Angeles calendar, a whole month of what locals call the twin fiesta.
The two feasts
- Second Sunday of October: the La Naval Fiesta, for Our Lady of the Rosary.
- Last Friday of October: the Pyesta ning Apung Mamacalulu, for the Merciful Lord at the shrine in Lourdes Sur.
The street party
On the last Thursday and Friday of October, a stretch of MacArthur Highway in Balibago closes to traffic for Tigtigan, Terakan keng Dalan, with music and food stalls lining the road.

The month also brings a trade fair, art exhibits, a calesin race and a city beauty pageant. Expect traffic and book hotels early.
