Overview

Aling Lucing's was established in Angeles City in 1974 by Lucia Cunanan, who is widely credited with inventing, or reinventing, sisig, the sizzling chopped-pork dish now eaten across the Philippines.

Her sisig's popularity helped earn Angeles City its reputation as the country's sisig capital, and earned Cunanan the nickname "Sisig Queen". For anyone tracing the dish back to its roots, this is the name that comes up first.
