Kapampangans never go home empty-handed. This loop collects the province's best-known take-home foods.
Mexico: San Nicolas cookies
Start at Dandy's San Nicolas Cookies in Parian, open from 7am, for the arrowroot shortbread pressed with the saint's image.
Magalang: pastillas
Drive north to Magalang for pastillas de leche at Carreon's Sweets and Pastries, and look for tamarind candies.
Santa Rita: the pastry town
Head south-west to Santa Rita for turrones de casoy, uraro and sans rival; Ocampo-Lansang Delicacies is a named maker. In November and December, ask for dúman.
Candaba: buro and salted eggs
If you have time, finish east at the Candaba Public Market for buro and mild salted duck eggs.
