Pampanga is easy to reach and, with a little planning, easy to get around.
By air
Clark International Airport, in the Clark Freeport Zone about 5 km from Angeles, is the province's gateway. NAIA in Manila is the other option.
Highways
The North Luzon Expressway comes up from Manila through the province; Dau in Mabalacat was once its northern end. The Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway also serves the north around Mabalacat and Clark. MacArthur Highway and Jose Abad Santos Avenue, the Gapan-Olongapo Road, meet at San Fernando.
Bus hubs
- Dau Bus Terminal in Mabalacat, with buses to Metro Manila and the north, including Tarlac, Pangasinan, Zambales and Baguio.
- San Fernando, with a 24-hour central bus terminal on Jose Abad Santos Avenue and stops for Victory Liner and Genesis buses to Bataan, Olongapo and Zambales.
Jeepneys
San Fernando is the jeepney hub of the province, with routes to every corner of Pampanga, including Angeles, plus vans and minibuses to Bulacan towns and Gapan. From there and from Angeles, jeepneys reach most towns.
Locally
Tricycles cover the last stretch in every town. In the low-lying south and east, boats are sometimes needed in the rainy season.
Start with our town guides, such as how to get to San Fernando and how to get to Mabalacat.
