Lubao is in south-western Pampanga, on the way to Bataan. It is about 8 km from Guagua, 18 km from San Fernando, 35 km from Angeles and 84 km from Manila. Pradera Verde, on its northern side in Prado Siongco, is roughly 45 minutes by car from Clark and two hours from Manila.
Big days to plan around
- March or April: the Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival at Pradera Verde draws very large crowds, so expect traffic and book any stay early.
- Early May: the Sampaguita Festival, with the river procession, floats and the May 5 town feast.
What to see
The San Agustin Church and the Macapagal museum are in San Nicolas 1st. The Lubao Bamboo Hub is in Santa Catalina.
