Masantol is Pampanga's southernmost town, almost surrounded by Macabebe and bordered by Calumpit and Hagonoy in Bulacan and by Manila Bay.
By car
Take the two-lane road that leaves MacArthur Highway in downtown Apalit, through Macabebe and on to Masantol. From Manila, the nearest expressway exits are San Simon and Pulilan.
By bus and jeepney
First North Luzon Transit runs a daily bus from Cubao to Masantol. Jeepneys and minibuses connect Masantol with San Fernando; the Masantol terminal is behind the church.
Getting around
Tricycles serve the town, but areas south of downtown are reached by boat, and in the rainy season boats can be needed even in the centre when floods meet high tide.
What to see
Start with the San Miguel Arcangel Parish Church and the public market for the town's famous seafood.
