Macabebe Ecopark and Consuelo Beach
Wetland park and small beach at Consuelo, where the Pampanga River meets Manila Bay, with mangroves and winter migratory birds.

Overview
At the far southern tip of Macabebe, in Barangay Consuelo, the Pampanga River empties into Manila Bay. The ecopark here is a stretch of wetland with a small brackish beach and around 55 hectares of mangrove forest.
It is better for looking than swimming: the water is estuarine, and the sand is not the white kind. Cyclists ride out to it, and from November to January thousands of migratory birds feed in the area.
Best time to visit
